“We are building in the storm for the storm”
Matthew 7:24-25
Has your foundation been shaken?
If we don’t build on an unshakeable foundation our house will crash
Building is not immediate, its a PROCESS-PROCESS-PROCESS
“Between Desire and the delight of standing in the storm is DISCIPLINE”
The foundation of salvation is where we begun - Building a lifestyle of practicing the Word of God
How do we develop Spiritual Hunger?
Luke 6:21 NLT
“...God blesses you who are hungry now, for you will be satisfied...”
“...God is saying, If you will get hungry, I will fill that hunger...”
Let us address two things that keep us from developing spiritual Hunger
We are filled with junk food
Disobedience
James 1:22
New Heart English Bible But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
“Inspiration without application leads to frustration”
Practical Steps To Develop Spiritual Hunger
Ask God to empty you - It’s called “Repentance”
Holy Spirit search my heart
What are the hurst and hang ups in my life
Be still and start repenting
Be Still
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God! Be silent and stop!
If things get smaller in your life, God says, I’ll get Bigger in your life”
Proverbs 16:26 The appetite of laborers works for them; their hunger drives them on.
2. Ask God to fill you
Ask God to replace those things in your life
Replace those bad things with the Word of God, Prayer, Worship, Getting around Godly people
Ask God to use you
Help me take responsibility - “…I was wrong...”
Become Generous
Celebrate one another
Proverbs 3:26-27
27Do not withhold good from those who deserve it
when it’s in your power to help them.
28If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say,
“Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”
You can’t Do This On Your Own
Leviticus 20:8
“...I am the LORD who sanctifies you...”
